Center City District composes 'Water Orchestra' at Dilworth Park

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- While you stroll through Philadelphia, you can compose a symphony right in Dilworth Park.

It's part of the limited "Water Orchestra" installation right at the base of City Hall.

The Philadelphia Orchestra partnered with the Center City District for this project as a celebration of their 125th Anniversary.

"It's about an exciting opportunity to work with them during that really monumental time for them... part of the mission of the Center City District is to bring arts and programming for free to the public, especially in Dilworth Park," said Center City District VP of Strategy and Design, Amy Genda.

"When you step up on the podium, not only do you have this wonderful dancing fountain in front of you, but also you can imagine standing in front of those hundred musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the greatest musicians in the world that make the most amazing sound together," said Philadelphia Orchestra & Ensemble Arts Chief Programming Officer, Jeremy Rothman.

You can experience "Water Orchestra" yourself until October 3rd.
