
DEERFIELD TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- One child was shot and two others were struck by a vehicle after chaos erupted during a graduation party Friday night in Cumberland County.
The incident happened around 11:42 p.m. at a home on Elm Street in Deerfield Township.
Authorities said a verbal altercation between two suspects escalated, leading to a crash involving a vehicle. At some point during the incident, shots were fired.
Police said a girl was shot in the leg. Two other children were hit by a vehicle as it fled the scene.
There was no immediate word on the conditions of the victims.
Officials have not said whether any arrests have been made.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
