Corio creates Italian food for every occasion in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Corio is the creation of three Vernick Food and Drink alums: David Feola, James Smith, and Ryan Mulholland.

The three owners met over a decade ago at Vernick until their career paths led them apart.

They credit Ryan for a reunion that made them restaurant owners for the first time this past May.

The Italian eatery blends chef-inspired dishes with an approachable menu filled with unique flavors like their peach pizza served on house-made pizza dough.

The beverage program features a curated wine list, as well as a menu of specialty cocktails, such as the La Pelosa.

Guests can catch a game at the bar or enjoy a private dining experience for special occasions.

The business partners say their goal is to provide delicious food to a fun neighborhood for take-out or to sit to enjoy a full-service dinner.
