Deadly shooting in Woodstown believed to be targeted

WOODSTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A person was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds after police responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment Saturday evening, according to the Woodstown Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment on Lee Street around 5:30 p.m. on May 30 and discovered the victim inside the residence. Police said early information indicates the victim was targeted in the attack.

No arrests have been made, but investigators said there is no evidence of an ongoing threat to the public.

The shooting remains under investigation, and authorities said additional details will be released as they become available.
