Driver injured after vehicle crashes into house in Philadelphia's Roxborough section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A driver was injured after losing control and crashing into the side of a home in Philadelphia's Roxborough neighborhood on Friday morning.

It happened just after 4 a.m. on the 600 block of Keely Court.

Police say the driver lost control while going northbound on Henry Avenue.

The vehicle crossed over lanes and landed on its side against the home, taking out a gas meter and an electric meter.

PGW was on scene investigating reports of a gas odor in the area.

The driver was taken to the hospital. The person's condition is not known.

The residents in the home were not hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
