Firefighters battle house fire in Crescentville

CRESCENTVILLE (WPVI) -- Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in the city's Crescentville section early Thursday morning.

It broke out in the basement of a rowhome on the 900 block of Granite Street around 12:30 a.m.

Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly.

There's no report of any injuries and no word yet on what sparked the fire.
