Former NBA player hosts elite basketball camp for kids in South Jersey

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Hundreds of kids are taking part in an elite basketball camp in South Jersey.

The 2026 JT Elite Basketball Camp is happening at the RiverWinds Community Center in West Deptford.

The training is led by Jason Thompson, a South Jersey native and 8-year NBA veteran.

Campers are getting hands-on coaching from experienced trainers, college and pro athletes.

They will work on developing skills, teamwork, and character, while having fun.
