The City Council has until September 11 to recall the ordinance before it takes effect.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A group of Philadelphia business owners and grassroots advocates rallied Thursday against a new overnight curfew ordinance.
The group gathered in Juniata Park, calling on the city council to recall the ordinance.
The ordinance would force many takeout spots, corner stores, and food trucks in neighborhoods, including Kensington and Germantown, to close from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Owners say the curfew will hurt small businesses.
