'HEADstrong Foundation' provides a home for cancer patients at 'Nick's House'

SWARTHMORE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- The "HEADstrong Foundation" is a nonprofit started by Nick Colleluori while he was battling cancer.

He wanted to provide resources to people in his situation, and he asked his mom to carry it on after his passing.

Now, Cheryl Colleluori keeps the organization going strong, especially with "Nick's House."

This is a home base for families receiving cancer treatment in our area.

There's no financial burden given to residents.

It allows them a place to stay for free that feels like a comfortable home.

"And so we become a very valuable resource along the journey. They leave everything they know behind. They're here on a wing and a prayer. We become their support system," said President of "HEADstrong Foundation," Cheryl Colleleuori.
