ICE will no longer talk to police about activities in Upper Darby, mayor says

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Upper Darby's mayor says that federal immigration agents will no longer talk to police about activities in the community.

That announcement came at a township council meeting this week.

Mayor Ed Brown called the change "scary."

The township is considering legislation that would establish a policy of not working with ICE in civil immigration enforcement.

Meanwhile, students at Upper Darby High School took part in a walk out protest against ICE on Thursday.
