Man critical following shooting at hotel in Eastwick

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting at a hotel in Eastwick.

Officers responded to the Hampton Inn along the 8600 block of Bartram Avenue for a report of a rape.

We're told the father of the rape victim was also at the scene, and shot a man he thought was involved.

Police say the man who was shot had nothing to do with the rape report.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The father was taken into custody at the scene.
