Man fatally shot in Frankford, gunman claims self defense

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Frankford section of the city.

Police were called to the 4800 block of Jackson Street around 11:35 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, they found a 62-year-old man shot in the arm and face.

He died at the scene.

Authorities say a second man was found with a gun and a valid permit to carry at the scene.

He told police the victim pointed a gun at him, so he shot him.

He was taken to police headquarters for questioning.

So far, no charges have been filed.
