

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man in his 50s was shot and killed inside a Southwest Philadelphia home Saturday morning.
Officers were called just before 9:40 a.m. to the 6500 block of Regent Street, where they found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his lower back. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene about 15 minutes later.
Homicide detectives spent the morning canvassing the neighborhood for evidence as crime scene tape surrounded the home. No arrests have been made, and police have not released any information about a possible motive.
The Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate.
