Man struck and killed by bus near Independence Mall in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit bus on Sunday evening near Independence Mall in Philadelphia.

It happened on Arch Street in Old City around 5:50 p.m.

Authorities say the man was lying on the curb when the bus hit him.

The circumstances of this incident remain under investigation.

The name of the man killed has not been released.
