Montco Jazz Fest: More than 30 Concerts and Free Performances on Tap

This week, it's the 5th annual Montco Jazz Fest.

It's six days of performances at venues across Montgomery County.

Internationally acclaimed vocalist Joanna Pascale is the Artistic Director of Montco Jazz Fest.

She's curated more than 30 unique concerts and events for this festival, showcasing both local talent and national acts.

Her goal is to couple extraordinary music with a celebration of the county's rich jazz legacy.

"This is a music that I love, and it's a music that I've dedicated my life to," says Pascale. "To be able to see it thrive and see the younger generations playing it is amazing. We're doing a junior jazz festival at the Elmwood Park Zoo. To be able to pay that forward is really just so gratifying."

Pascale says this milestone fifth festival will also shine a spotlight on the 100th birthdays of jazz icons including Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Tony Bennett, and other legendary artists whose music continues to inspire generations.

As part of the lineup, look for free concerts at venues throughout the county, including free performances at Eataly at the King of Prussia Mall.

Montco Jazz Fest runs September 15th through the 20th.
