Montgomery County man arrested for alleged child sex abuse

ABINGTON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have arrested a Montgomery County man who is suspected of soliciting a minor late last year.

Deren Thach, 38, turned himself in to Abington Township police on March 12.

Investigators believe Thach tried to solicit a young girl for sex and explicit photos in Willow Grove back in December 2025.

During the investigation, police discovered that there were other minor female victims as well.

Officials executed a search warrant on March 6 at his apartment in Ambler, where police say digital evidence was seized, as well as other evidence of his alleged crimes.

Thach has been charged with several counts of Sexual Abuse of Children, Corruption of Minors, and Unlawful Contact with a Minor.

He's currently being held on $100,000 cash bail.
