Mother pleads for justice 3 years after son's murder in Juniata

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It's been more than three years since a young man was shot and killed in Philadelphia.

The search for his killer continues.

"The last day that we saw each other we spent time with each other. Our words to each other was I love you, mom," says Patricia Williams.

Williams fondly remembers her son, Gerren Cream.

The 29-year-old was shot and killed just after midnight along the 4300 block of Lawndale Street in the city's Juniata section back on March 4th, 2023.

He died just 15 minutes later.

However, because he had no identification on him at the time, police were not able to contact his family for several days.

It was only after his mother filed a missing person's report that she learned of Gerren's murder.

"I would like this to end. I don't know if this person has a conscience, I just would like this to be over," says Williams.

Gerren's mom is hoping someone comes forward with information on what happened that fateful night.

"If they want the money, come get the money. I just would really like for an arrest or conviction to happen," says Williams.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
