Multiple hurt after van of nurses overturns on Christopher Columbus Blvd. in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Multiple people are hurt after a crash involving a van carrying nurses.

It happened just after 6:30 a.m. on Friday at S. Christopher Columbus Blvd. and Reed St. in South Philadelphia.

The crash caused the van to overturn, according to police.

Police say everyone was able to get out of the overturned vehicle, but that multiple people reported being injured.

Officials say the van was carrying 11 passengers and one driver.

The intersection is closed as police investigate.
