NJ Governor Phil Murphy urges extradition of Indian national charged with murder

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is urging the government of India to assist in the extradition of Indian national Nazeer Hameed.

Hameed is accused of the horrific 2017 murder of a Burlington County mother and her 6-year-old son.

After a multi-year investigation, authorities say a DNA analysis linked Hameed to the crime.

Police say he returned to India six months after the crime.

They believe he is still there.
