Parents facing charges in alleged assault of their 7-week-old daughter in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia mother and father are facing charges in connection with the assault of their 7-week-old daughter, according to police.

Police say the child of 21-year-old Secret McCleve-Sar and 22-year-old Tyrone Jones was transferred to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia this weekend with multiple serious injuries.

But the couple left with the baby before receiving the results of her medical evaluation.

The child's parents were arrested Sunday.

McCleve-Sar and Jones are facing charges, including aggravated assault, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and obstructing justice.

The infant is being treated at CHOP.
