Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society hosts free clinics in honor of World Spay Day

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society is helping communities manage their outdoor cat populations.

Both PAWS locations in Philadelphia hosted free Trap, Neuter, Release, or TNR clinics for un-owned, outdoor cats.

Caregivers were able to set up appointments to bring the cats to PAWS for the procedure, as well as vaccinations and flea treatments.

The event is happening in honor of World Spay Day, which was Tuesday.
