Philadelphia Fire Department holds graduation ceremony for 204th fire cadet class

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia's newest firefighters are now ready to hit the streets.

Wednesday was graduation day for the fire department's 204th fire cadet class.

Class 204 featured a father-son duo, as Ahmir and Shawn Harris both graduated together.

The ceremony happened at Franklin Towne Charter Elementary in the city's Bridesburg neighborhood.

All cadets were sworn in and received their official assignments to one of the 63 firehouses across the city.
