New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell is under investigation for alleged inappropriate behavior toward women, Action News has confirmed.
A source told Action News the inquiry began several weeks ago at the request of Gov. Sherrill's administration. Former state Attorney General Christopher Porrino and his partners at Lowenstein Sandler LLP are conducting the investigation.
In a statement last week, the governor's office said Sherrill "takes any reports of inappropriate behavior or misconduct seriously."
Caldwell's office has not responded to requests for comment.
