Philly business donates chocolate chip cookie sales to Ronald McDonald House

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, and this business in Philadelphia is celebrating it by being sweet to others.

The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company is selling their chocolate chip cookie for one dollar.

All of those proceeds from today will directly benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region.

It's a cause that's personal and powerful to the owners of the cookie business.

"My husband and I met the folks from the Ronald McDonald House almost 20 years ago...Unfortunately, our son did get sick and we needed their services and they took such incredible care of our family," said owner of The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Tina Phillips.

Their sale continues online until August 6th.
