PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- As Philadelphia becomes a hotspot for tourists this summer, visitors can find a safe space to connect with the city's LGBTQ+ community.
The Philly Pride Visitor Center has popped up in the Gayborhood, welcoming locals and guests to express themselves.
"I noticed that when people come here who are dealing with something challenging...they leave with a smile on their face. They know they can come back here. They know that this is somewhere where they're safe, they're welcomed, and they're going to learn about other places where they can feel that way," said Kristopher Lawrence, Philly Pride Center Supervisor.
Currently, the center is open 7 days a week at various hours.
