Crash on Platt Bridge causes major traffic delays in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A crash on the Platt Bridge caused major traffic delays for commuters on Monday morning.

The Philadelphia Fire Department was called to the accident on Penrose Avenue northbound, coming away from the airport into South Philadelphia.

When crews arrived, they saw a two-car crash, with one person entrapped.

Two people were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The road was closed northbound for several hours, but all lanes have since been reopened.
