CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Camden County police and the City of Camden are using new technology to crack down on illegal dumping.
Last July, the city unveiled a state-of-the-art camera system.
Officials say the cameras were installed in strategic locations throughout Camden.
Since the cameras were installed, city leaders say they have seen a significant decrease in illegal dumping.
Those who report illegal dumping are also compensated up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
