Man charged after allegedly stabbing father to death in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man faces murder charges after police say he stabbed his father to death in North Philadelphia.

Investigators say 28-year-old Devin Jenkins was taken into custody at the scene.

The stabbing happened at a home on the 600 block of West Wingohocking Street just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say 61-year-old Kevin Jenkins was found on the porch, suffering from stab wounds to the neck.

He died at the hospital a short time later.
