Man shot multiple times in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are trying to figure out who shot a 28-year-old man multiple times in North Philadelphia.

It happened just after midnight on the 2600 block of North 8th Street.

Police say the man was shot multiple times in the leg and thigh.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

His identity has not been released.

Investigators are checking surveillance cameras in the area to try to identify a suspect and a motive.

The incident remains under investigation.
