Police seek to establish timeline after boy, 9, left alone on school bus in Blackwood
BLACKWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are going through surveillance video to establish a timeline as they try to figure out how a 9-year-old boy was left alone on a school bus in Blackwood, New Jersey.
The boy's mother, Wanda Chandler, told Action News that her son boarded the bus around 8 a.m. Thursday to attend summer school at Union Valley Elementary School.

Chandler said her son fell asleep and woke up a couple of hours later on the bus. She said the child then wandered through the bus lot looking for help.
Chandler said a district employee found her son walking through the parking lot, asked his name and age, and brought him inside.
The school district has not responded to requests for comment.
