Rare orca sighting in San Diego

A pod of orcas were spotted off the coast of San Diego, California on April 14, 2018.

This is not typical, as orcas tend to stay away from the shoreline.

The pod was spotted about 20 miles off the coast and filmed from a drone.

Orcas, also known as killer whales, are the largest members of the oceanic dolphin family.
