Rescue crews search for man reported missing in Delaware River

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is missing after entering the Delaware River near Penn's Landing in Philadelphia on Wednesday evening.

Rescue crews began searching for the man shortly before 7 p.m.

Authorities said a woman told investigators that her boyfriend dove into the water but never resurfaced.

Multiple agencies searched the river, but there was no sign of the man.

The search was suspended for the night.
