Beware of fake website posing as water bill payment site, Philadelphia Department of Revenue warns

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- There is a new alert for Philadelphia residents who pay their water bills online.

Officials are warning of a fake website that might trick you into providing your personal information.

The page "myphillywaterbill.com" appears in regular search engine results, but the Department of Revenue says it's a scam.

Customers are encouraged to go to Phila.gov for direct access to the city's secure payment portal.
