
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after four people were hospitalized following a shooting in the city's East Falls neighborhood.
It happened just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday near Roberts and Stokely streets.
Police say a 26-year-old woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, she was immediately taken to Temple University Hospital by police and remains in critical condition.
A second victim, a 23-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg. He was also taken to Temple Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
A short time later, a third victim, a 33-year-old man, walked into Roxborough Hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.
He was later transported to Einstein Medical Center, where is in stable condition.
A fourth victim, also a 33-year-old man, arrived at Nazareth Hospital around 8 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the left arm.
Police say he is the suspect in the earlier shooting.
He was detained and transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment as a prisoner hospital case.
Police continue to investigate.
