Teenager struck by vehicle while riding bike in New Castle County

PIKE CREEK, Del. (WPVI) -- A teenager is hurt following a crash in Pike Creek, New Castle County.

It happened along Mill Creek Road near Merrimor Court around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say a vehicle struck a 13-year-old girl riding a bike.

The driver remained at the scene.

The teen was taken to a hospital for treatment, but there is no update on her condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
