Temple University Resident Assistants, Peer Mentors vote unanimously to unionize

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Resident Assistants and Peer Mentors at Temple University have unanimously voted to unionize.

They are now members of the Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 153.

Unionizing gives them leverage to negotiate compensation, job security and benefits.

Resident Assistants at Penn, Drexel, Swarthmore and Bucknell Universities have also recently voted to unionize.
