Vehicle crashes into Family Dollar store in Philadelphia's Lawndale section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A vehicle crashed through the glass doors of a Family Dollar store in Philadelphia's Lawndale section and ended up entirely inside the store.

It happened on Foulkrod Street near Adams Avenue around 9:40 a.m. Sunday.

Emergency personnel safely removed the driver and took the person to the hospital for further evaluation.

Police say none of the customers or employees were injured.

Northeast Detectives are investigating what caused the crash.
