Watch dolphins swimming alongside surfers in incredible drone footage

These surfers caught more than just a wave. They also caught sight of some adorable dolphins.

Incredible drone footage shows the marine mammals mingling with a trio of surfers, swimming under their boards and even catching the same waves. Limited Edition, the surf-wear company that published the video, said it was shot off the coast of Southern Australia in December.

"A pretty amazing day spent in the ocean with a pod of dolphins and a coupla codgers!" One of the surfers in the video, Joe Clarke, reflected on Facebook.

Even though this isn't the first time dolphins' natural curiosity has brought them in close proximity with surfers, NOAA advises to admire them from a respectable distance.
