Woman shot and wounded in Mayfair section of Philadelphia

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- A shooting in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia sent a woman to the hospital.

It happened at 12 a.m. Tuesday in the 4500 block of Tudor Street.

Police say a 30-year-old woman was shot in the right leg.

She was rushed to an area hospital is in stable condition.

Her husband told police he was cleaning his gun when the weapon fired, hitting the woman.

No charges have been filed.
