Thursday night, 6abc hosted a special Town Hall event to titled The Virus of Hate: Coronavirus and its impact on the local Asian American Community.

Nydia Han spoke with community leaders to share stories, learn about the history of racism against Asian American and Pacific Islanders in America, and find ways to navigate these challenging times.

The conversation included practical strategies to overcome bias and hate, to address our own mental health, and to help our children cope during the pandemic.

Hear Dr. Yu-Heng Guo's three As for parents about 20 minutes into the conversation. And about 45 minutes into the discussion, hear why Anne Ishii, the executive director of the Asian Arts Initiative, is calling on the AAPI community to be #UnapologeticallyAsian.
