Eagles lock up All-Pro kicker Jake Elliott for another four years
PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles and second-team All-Pro kicker Jake Elliott agreed to terms on a lucrative four-year contract extension Wednesday.
The deal is worth $24 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The $6 million average per year ties Elliott with Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens as the highest-paid kickers in NFL history.
Elliott, 29, is coming off a season in which he connected on a career-best 93.8% of his field goals, including going 7-of-8 from 50-plus yards.
Elliott, a Pro Bowl selection in 2021 and a second-team All-Pro this past season, ranks second in Eagles history in field goals (168) and third in points (775). He has built a reputation of being a clutch kicker, particularly in the playoffs, where he has converted all 16 of his field goal attempts, including going 5-for-5 in two Super Bowl appearances.
It's been a good week for Eagles special teams players. On Tuesday, long snapper Rick Lovato and punter Braden Mann also agreed to contract extensions.
