Jamiro Monteiro brace sends Philadelphia Union past Saprissa

Jamiro Monteiro scored twice as the Philadelphia Union triumphed 4-0 over Saprissa in the CONCACAF Champions League on Wednesday night.

Monteiro opened the scoring with a 47th-minute penalty, and Kacper Przybylko added a goal four minutes later. Anthony Fontana added to the margin in the 54th minute, and Monteiro scored again in the 90th minute.

The Union, who won the tie 5-0 on aggregate, move on to a quarterfinal matchup with Atlanta United.
