SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- At Eagles training camp, quarterback Carson Wentz remains a big draw.

So much so that one family traveled more than 1,500 miles from Jamestown, North Dakota to South Philadelphia to see their favorite player.

The Anderson family has been rooting for Wentz since his days at North Dakota State.

The family got very emotional when talking about their favorite QB.

"It's just awesome to be included in all this stuff. It's just great," said Chuck Anderson. "I get the dream. Once in a lifetime, maybe."

"It's just awesome," said Karen Anderson, choking back tears. "Just being here, being away from North Dakota, to get to be here. It's just great."

When asked about Carson Wentz, she said, "He's awesome. Such a role model for our kids and grandkids."

Eagles camp and Carson Wentz bring tears to her eyes.
He came all the way from North Dakota to see Carson Wentz.

Also at camp Friday: Wentz having a little fun by taking a big hit from Trey Burton's young son!

While they and other fans got to have fun watching the team on Friday, fans hoping to see the Birds on Saturday will have to wait.

That open practice has been postponed to Sunday at 10 a.m. due to the rainy weather in the forecast.
