Man arrested for shooting stepmother in East Oak Lane

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was arrested for shooting his stepmother in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.

Police were called around 6:20 p.m. Thursday to the unit block of West Cheltenham Avenue.

Police said the 45-year-old man shot his 61-year-old stepmother in the back.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are investigating.
