SEPTA, Fraternal Order of Transit Police Lodge 109 reach tentative agreement

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A potential strike by SEPTA Transit Police has been averted before the busy July Fourth holiday.

SEPTA and the Fraternal Order of Transit Police Lodge 109 announced a tentative agreement on a new contract for transit police officers.

The previous contract expired on March 31.

The tentative agreement will now go to FOTP members for a ratification vote and then to the SEPTA Board.
