Leaders from the Cheltenham School District met Tuesday night to discuss the future of their high school football team.
Sources say that the student allegedly came into contact with electricity, suffering serious burns or shock.
Cheltenham High School has ended its football season following allegations of hazing among team members, the school district announced.
The decision came just two hours before the team was scheduled to play its senior night game against Truman High School at Springfield Township High School.
According to the anti-hazing report, university officials were alerted to claims that the squad was forcing new members to clean up after social events, requiring those new members to participate in social events involving alcohol, and had underage members assist in the purchasing of kegs of beer.
The legal punishments for each of the 11 Syracuse high school students who surrendered for their alleged involvement in the extreme hazing of five younger lacrosse players could vary, legal experts say.
