About $1 million in diamonds and gold were gone in 60 seconds after a brazen smash-and-grab robbery in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
The head of the Louvre Museum said Wednesday that new surveillance cameras and anti-intrusion systems will soon be installed at the Paris landmark after last month's stunning crown jewels heist.
According to an employee with knowledge of the system, the password to the Louvre's video surveillance system was simply "Louvre" at the time of the robbery last month.
Two new suspects have been handed preliminary charges in Louvre jewels heist case, the Paris prosecutor said.
Five more suspects have been arrested in connection to the Oct. 19 jewel heist at the Louvre museum in Paris, according to Paris Prosecutor Laure Beccuau.
The Paris public prosecutor said investigators are making "major progress" in solving the brazen Oct. 19 Louvre heist and that two suspects in custody will be charged with "organized robbery."
