Philadelphia Zoo welcomes addition to bear family

PHILADELPHIA -- The family at the Philadelphia Zoo has expanded, as they welcomed their newest arrival to bear country.

Meet Kayla. The 200 pound sloth bear was introduced to the public Thursday.

She was greeted by youngsters as she ran around and played in her newly enlarged bear country exhibit.

The 2 year old came from the San Diego Zoo back in July to be cared for here in Philadelphia.

Zoo keepers say she loves to climb and dig up the ground.
