Bird crashes into nose of American Airlines plane

Bird hits plane in Miami

A bird slammed into the nose of an American Airlines plane as it was landing at Miami International Airport Tuesday morning.

The plane was able to safely taxi to the gate.

Officials say planes have softer material at the nose.

The plane has been taken to maintenance to repair the damage.
