'Toy Insider' shows us 6 picks for last-minute gift ideas

Are you stressing about completing your holiday gift list with the clock ticking until Christmas? Or maybe you're looking for a clever present that inspires creativity among children?

Ali Mierzejewski, Editor-in-Chief of The Toy Insider, joined the Action News morning team in the 6abc studios Tuesday to help us discover 6 picks for Channel 6. All of the toys were in stock and available at major retailers as of her visit on Action News Mornings.

Minecraft Sticker Maker by WeCool

MSRP: $24.99

Ages: 6+

Available: Amazon, Walmart

This sticker maker machine is shaped like the Creeper from Minecraft. Mierzejewski describes it as easy to use with nearly instant results. It comes with everything you need to get started including sticker blisters, backgrounds, sprinkles and more. Sticker packs are also available.

Hello Blink Tattoo Maker by Buffalo Games

MSRP: $34.99

Ages: 8+

Available: Walmart

Design and personalize your own temporary tattoos with a thermal printer using ink-free technology. Mierzejewski says the machine does not need cartridges nor does it make a mess. You can design your own custom tattoos or select from a gallery in the free app. She says the box includes markers, 50 tattoo paper sheets and transfer paper sheets and a USB charger.

3Doodler Candy by Wobbleworks, Inc.

MSRP: $59.99

Ages: 8+

Available: Target, Kohl's, Barnes & Noble

Mierzejewski says this is the first 3D pen that lets kids design real, colorful candy creations with sugar-free, gluten-free candy capsules and decorate baked goods like cupcakes and cookies. There are no external hot parts.

Imagix by Artificial Imagery

Ages: 6+

MSRP: $199

Availability: Best Buy exclusive

Mierzejewski is a big fan of this toy but points out that it is priced well above the previous items. The product is described as a holographic companion for kids, not just a toy. It can remember your child's name and favorite topics and will feel personalized as it responds with fun facts and interactive stories. Mierzejewski believes parents may appreciate that this is not connected to the internet, sending private data and conversations to the cloud, so they can feel safe and the experience is more magical than tablet screens.

Nintendo Switch 2

Mierzejewski also brought along the Nintendo Switch 2. It debuted to great fanfare when it officially launched in the United States over the summer.

She says it remains extremely popular among many age groups.

She praised one of her favorite titles for the console, Lego Party! By Fictions, retailing for $39.99.
